Arkansan Named to National Great American Cleanup Affiliate Advisory Board
LITTLE ROCK(Feb. 28, 2014) – Keep America Beautiful has appointed Elizabeth “Liz” Philpott, volunteer services coordinator for Keep Arkansas Beautiful (KAB), to the national Great American Cleanup Affiliate Advisory Board.
In this role, Philpott will provide expert insights and share best practices to Keep America Beautiful staff and other certified state affiliates as Keep America Beautiful continues to look for ways to improve the Great American Cleanup. KAB is a certified state affiliate of Keep America Beautiful.
“She has established herself as a leader among Keep America Beautiful state and local affiliates nationally in managing communication and information utilizing KAB’s various social media programs,” said Robert Phelps, director of Keep Arkansas Beautiful.
Philpott has served as volunteer services coordinator at KAB for nearly two years, where she educates communities, groups and volunteer organizations about the mission and work of KAB.
Recently, she attended the Keep America Beautiful national conference where she was able to collaborate with other state leaders on promoting the Great American Cleanup in this way in their own states.
