Times: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
The City of Elkins will host their Richland Creek Cleanup Work Day on Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
The City requests as much community involvement as possible to help clean out the drainage creek that runs behind the homes on Richland Creek by the Oakwoods subdivision. City crew members will be on hand with heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers to get this area cleaned up and provide better water drainage for hundreds of citizens.
Refreshments will be provided for volunteers throughout the event. In the morning there will be snacks and pastries, and lunch will also be served. There will also be giveaways for volunteers.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring any yard tools (gloves, rakes, shovels, chainsaws, etc.) that can be used during the event.
Come out and help (and meet) your neighbors! Access to the creek will be provided via the Stinson Family Farm at 1081 N. Center Street in Elkins. Please carpool from the Oakwoods subdivision. If you must park at the location, please make sure to do so in the circle drive.
