Lake Ouachita Trash Cleanup 2019

Date(s): 10/05/2019
Times: 8:00 am - 11:00 am

Friends of Lake Ouachita will host their Lake Ouachita Trash Cleanup on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 8:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Volunteers will gather at the Lake Ouachita Vista Trail (LOVIT) Trailhead on Shangri La Road off Highway 270 West in Montgomery County at 8:00 a.m. There is plenty of parking available, as well as clean restrooms.

Trash bags and water will be provided. Please bring gloves, grabbers, bug spray, and anything else you think you might need for the day. The event is scheduled for 2 hours, but volunteers are welcome to enjoy the Vista Trail along the shores of beautiful Lake Ouachita.

If you are unable to join for this event on October 5, you can get a free trash bag at one of the public boat ramps on the lake. Just look for the “Grab-a-bag” sign. Then simply leave the trash by the ramp and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will take care of it. Learn more:
