Times: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Volunteers are needed to participate in Lake Fort Smith State Park’s annual fall litter pickup on Saturday September 21, 2019, from 9 a.m-12 p.m.
The community is encouraged to take part in the cleanup event to show your appreciation and support for the multitude of public lands in Crawford County and the surrounding area. Area businesses, clubs, churches, scouts, and others are invited to put teams together for the event. Anyone interested in participating should call Lake Fort Smith State Park at 479-369-1010 or 479-369-1015 for more information. Supplies will be provided at no cost, however, if you have your own work gloves you are welcome to use them.
Participants may register at the park’s Visitor Center at 8:00 am on the 21st where Park Interpreters will be handing out supplies and t-shirts (while supplies last). Other members of park staff will be present to assist with registration as well as the cleanup process itself. At 12:00pm, volunteers will reconvene at the Visitors Center for free hotdogs (while supplies last) and a door prize drawing. All participants will be eligible for door prizes donated by local sponsors.
