Cossatot River State Park – Natural Area will host their Leave No Trace Hot Spot – Fall River Cleanup on Saturday, September 29, 2018. Volunteers are needed to help with this event.
A clean, beautiful park is something you can enjoy and be proud to share with future generations. Many people enjoy visiting Cossatot River State Park- Natural Area and the impacts of overuse are showing. Litter, invasive species, illegal fire rings, and other impacts can be seen throughout the park. Join park interpreters and the Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers during the Hot Spot Event to volunteer and help clean up the wild and scenic Cossatot River. Registration will be held at the park visitor center at 9:00 a.m. The park will provide trash bags, gloves, safety vests and other supplies. Lunch will be provided for volunteers free of charge. Bring water and pick-up sticks or grabbers. We also highly recommend wearing boots for this event.
