Earn Service Learning Hours
If you're a high school student in Arkansas graduating in 2027 or beyond, the LEARNS Act requires you to earn at least 75 service learning hours prior to graduation. Luckily, finding volunteer opportunities is easy with Keep Arkansas Beautiful, especially during our annual cleanup events. But there are lots of other ways to beautify our state too, either in groups or on your own. Got an idea for a project? Tell us more about it!
StatewideHigh School Video Contest
High school students are invited to create a 30-second video commercial promoting environmental responsibility in Arkansas. Presented by the Fort Smith International Film Festival, Arkansas Cinema Society, and Keep Arkansas Beautiful, the contest is free to enter and runs through April 24. Videos should highlight litter prevention, recycling, conservation or beautification and must be submitted via Film Freeway. Winners will be announced at an ACS Summer Screening.
