Mississippi River State Park & St. Francis National Forest will host their Great Arkansas Cleanup event on Saturday, September 30, 2017. Volunteers are invited to help clean up the boat ramps at Hornor Neck Lake and the St. Francis River as well as the road down to the Mississippi River. Fisherman and other boaters are encouraged to patrol the shoreline from the water, while everyone else picks up trash on foot. They will have trash bags and gloves for everyone. Help keep your public lands litter-free so they can can continue to be some of the best fishing and recreation spots around. Volunteers can meet at the Storm Creek Day Use area to pick up cleanup supplies and find out what area you are assigned to. Free t-shirts for the early-bird volunteers.
